The Tolfa Mountains, located between Rome and Civitavecchia, are one of the most interesting territories of the Maremma Tolfetana gifted of astonishing landscapes and woodlands typical of this area.

In particular the area: the valley of the Rio River which is characterized by spreading forests and brush land interrupted by fields of grazing cows and horses branded the Maremma race.

The richness and variety found in this area makes it one of the most beautiful areas of the region, causing it to be the main subject of a series of proposals as an established protected area.
