Tolfa is a little medieval town, 530 metres above sea level, surrounded by ancient wood groves, which in turn give on to spectacular valley views, where cattle lazily graze. Your tour escort will lead you for a stroll through the quaint historical centre, its tranquil, narrow streets and arched passageways, past stately renaissance palaces embellished by the coats of arms, pointing you the ruins of the medieval castle, where once locals sort refuge from the invading Saracens.
